HBHC Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Development Worker to support the holistic well-being of our Anishinaabe babies and children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare correspondence congruent to AHBHC program goals, objectives, and services.
• Visit community families to provide support related to parenting skills, child development, referrals, assessments, and maintain and create linkages to community services for families with children 0-6 years including prenatal clients
• Provide healthy lifestyle education information, workshops, and seminars on smoking, alcohol, gestational diabetes, nutrition, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
• Prepare all related written correspondence in a professional manner, and participate in case conferences with clients, families and other caregivers.
• Networking to ensure maximum coordination of federal and provincial funding programs.
• Maintain statistical data and attend training as required.
• Provide accurate monthly progress and financial reports.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be organized and punctual
• Computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience in health administration, client counselling, and program implementation
• Education and/or training in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is an asset
• Must live a healthy lifestyle
• Valid Driver’s License and access to transportation
• Criminal Records check
