A presentation by John Henry at a General Band meeting on January 27th, 2018, referred to as “Breakdown of Compensation within Our Community” was made and a resolution was to be voted on under the Band Custom and AANDC Referendum rules.
A presentation was made by the Economic Development Committee referred to as “Economic Development Committee Band Custom Resolution Presentation at the General Band Meeting March 2, 2019”.
A presentation was made Barry Henry referred to as “Barry Henry Band Custom Resolution Presentation at the General Band Meeting March 2, 2019”.
A presentation was made by Chief and Council referred to as “Chief and Council Band Custom Resolution Presentation at the General Band Meeting November 24, 2018”.
On March 28th, 2019, Chief and Council, Economic Development and Barry Henry have agreed to combine their proposals under Band Custom into one Proposal, known as “Economic Development Committee, Chief and Council, Barry Henry Combined Band Custom Resolution Presentation”.
A series of information sessions for Band members will be held and advertised on the website page and Facebook.
Referendum Ballot Question
- I vote for the John Henry proposal referred to as “Breakdown of Compensation within Our Community” A full list of the Impact Survivors Group will be reviewed, approved and voted on at a General Band Meeting under Band Custom prior to disbursement.
- I vote for the “Economic Development Committee, Chief and Council and Barry Henry Combined Band Custom”. A full list of the Impact Survivors Group, the Economic Development Business Plan, and the Feasibility/Business Plan for the Cannabis business need to be completed and approved together or separately under Band Custom prior to disbursements.
