Further to the November 26, 2020 notice that Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation has confirmed 3 members that have tested positive for Covid-19. Contact tracing is not yet complete.

In an effort to limit the spread, Chief and Council has delayed the opening of the gate to 3:00 pm today. We apologize for the inconvenience. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time.

If the Contact Tracing team contacts you, please follow orders to self-isolate. Please refrain from leaving the community or your home. Further, if you are contacted, we will make our best effort to ensure you have supplies needed to self-isolate for 14 days.

COVID-19 mobile testing unit will be in the community on Saturday, November 28 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. Individuals wishing to be tested will be asked to remain in their vehicles until they are called in for testing. Please wear a mask.

This closure will include any members who are working out of community, unless they are deemed an essential worker, have medical appointments or any other plans.

We remind everyone to follow Public Health guidelines, which includes maintaining social distancing, wearing proper PPE and limiting social gathering.

We take the safety of our members very seriously, and will be doing everything we can to address this head on and ensure everyone’s safety is a top priority.
