This program is open to individuals who are unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week and are looking for employment. Our program offers workplace essential skills such as document use, writing, basic maths, digital technology, resume writing, interview prep, plus other technical and sector-focused skills,as well as hard skills training such as first aid, WHMIS and other gentle skills like conflict resolution.
Program participants will train using a blend of online and one-on-one instruction with opportunities for hands-on learning and group collaboration.
While the participants are not paid to attend training, all training costs are paid for and additional supports exist as well for participants. Participants will require access to a computer and reliable internet for a good chunk of the program.
To qualify participants must be residents of Ontario, have a valid SIN, and have access to a reliable computer and internet.
