The federal government of Canada is looking to understand Treaty #3 principles, best practices, and other elements that will inform the development of an Indigenous Knowledge Policy Framework for proposed project reviews and Regulatory decisions. The policy framework will help guide the implementation of the Indigenous knowledge provisions in the legislation proposed under Bills C-68 and C-69.
The Territorial Planning Unit will be hosting an engagement session on Zoom and in person (with limited capacity) on October 28, 2021 at Days Inn Kenora for the first 20 people, and at November 2, 2021 at La Place Rendez-vous in Fort Frances for the first 15 people.
